Today we started the English lesson and we got some mini papers on which were written parts of the sentences. We had to arrange them so that we got the stories of three disasters. Some were looking in textbook and did all right. At the end we all have reviewed by listening to the tape. And we also watched the scenes from natural disasters, and a dubbed scene from Titanic. This English hour was very interesting.

School started at 7.40 in the morning (which is killing me). I had two hours of Art on my timetable and our teacher asked us about Pop Art – Marilyn Monroe, ketchup bottles, giant statues and more. I didn't have breakfast in the morning and I was even more hungry when our teacher told us that we are going to make statues from clay that look like our favourite food. I made a doughnut (it looked like a cloud with crumbles) and my sister Veronika made a pizza, which I accidentally broke into 3 pieces.
Other hours were a bit boring, but I enjoyed English. Last week we had to make an advertisement for an English test. We were very excited, because we knew: our classmates and teachers are going to decide which advertisement is the best and the winner is going to get 3 bonus points at the test. I made mine on paper, but my friends liked my sister's commercial best. She made a PowerPoint presentation. Veronika wants all the users of the English test know: »If you experience headaches, explosive pens, burning tables, or even death, contact your doctor because English tests may not be right for you.«
I also liked the commercials from Anja and Manca. Boys didn't put much effort in it. Some of them forgot about it or made one during the break. Because we didn't have enough grades, Ms Oroz asked some of us a couple of questions. Most of my classmates weren't too happy about it and others made exercises for the test.
And the homework? Exercises in our notebooks and most off all: LEARN!

When the bell rang, we started our English lesson. First, we opened our textbooks on page 41. We read all advertisements on that page and then we discussed them. We told which one was the best in our opinion and which one was the worse Slovenian advertisement for us. Then we solved the exercise 3 a, on page 42. In this exercise, we had to match the slogans with the shown products. When we did that, we checked the correct solutions. After that our teacher opened the internet page “YouTube” and we watched a Slovenian advertisement, which was played on CNN. We watched a few more advertisements, but the bell interrupted us, when rang for the end of our lesson that day.
There was no homework to do. But you just have to study, because the teacher will the next time check our knowledge. So, if you want to get a good grade, start doing it.

Today we started the English lesson with a game from the textbook. We picked two pupils and then they had to go out. They were the suspects. One of us (the detective) asked them some questions. The hard part of it was, that the suspects did not know what the other pupil answered. If they both answered the same, we knew they were not lying, if they didn't answer the same than we knew they were lying. With this funny and interesting game we had some practice in this chapter. The chapter was Tag questions. Here is an example of a tag question: You are hungry, aren't you? or I'm not late, am i?
And here is a joke just to make it a little funnier:
Pupil (on phone) : My son has a bad cold and won't be able to come to school today.
School Secretary: Who is this ?
Pupil: This is my father speaking!

Our English class started at twenty past eleven. First we talked about advertisements (in English, of course!). Most of us thought they are annoying, too long or uninteresting, but some of them are also funny and creative. They can also have a very catchy jingle (song), like the advertisements for Barni, Lekadol plus C, etc.
Then we looked at the advertisements in our books. My favourite was the one for Fruc, which said: »Pofrucaj me nežno«. In English it means: »Fruc me gently.« We did the exercise 3a on page 42 in our books; we had to match slogans of advertisements with the products.
After that our teacher showed us the advertisement for Slovenia, made a couple of years ago. I thought it was very beautiful, it really showed Slovenia's most beautiful places. But my classmates thought something was missing: corn!
Then we watched some really shocking commercials. I think if these advertisements would replace the ones for shoes, cars, clothes and shampoos, the world could be better. We would be shocked, of course, but we would think about their message and they could also make us give up our bad habits and think about their influence.
I think today's English class was very fun and interesting.
Homework: Make an advertisement for the next English test! Remember: the one who makes the best one, will get three bonus points at the test!

We started our English Lesson at 9:35 and finished it at 10:20.
At the begining our teacher Ms. Oroz said thad She didn´t saw us for a while and then we had to find pairs with negative and positive questions.
After that we played a game. We had to memorise a food an when somebody called that food and it was you, you had to call another food. It was a nice game.
After the game we had to open our books and we listened to the recording and then we had to do true or false statements exercise.
After the bell Ms Oroz gave us homework. She gave us a lot of homework and that was the end of our English lesson.

Homework: WB 19,17 exercises 31, 32.

OUR MONDAY'S ENGLISH LESSON
(Oskar Sekač 8.b.)
At 12.10 we started our English lesson. For start we gave ourselves food names. I was an apple. The game was going on like that: I said apple calls orange and the orange had to respond as fast as possible. The orange said orange calls cheese and so on. Then teacher gave us little paper sheets. For exercise we had to put this sheets logicaly together. With this exercise we learned new theme Tag questions. In the next 5 minutes we read comic in textbook on side 31. Then we went on with the true and false exercise on side 32. At the end of lesson teacher gave us homework. For homework we had exercises 5a,6a and 7 on sides 32 and 33.
My opinion of this hour: The hour was good because we played games and we didn't get many exercises for homework.
